All I really want

When I was about eight to ten, or somewhere around there, not really sure, I really loved this song. It's a classic example of really really sad and really really bad (read: sucky) 90's music. And I've got a real relationship with those kind of songs. Like the remix of "Dear Jessie" and that song called "Better off alone" and... Those really sad techno-trance-dance kind of songs. I loved them. I never really heard a lot of them, because I didn't have many CDs and I didn't listen to the radio and I didn't have many channels on my family's television set, but the ones I could get my hands on, I cherished, in a way. I made up stories about them and I dreamed those stories when listening to them. This is one of those songs. I guess you could say that it's stupid, but it's a part of me and I was thinking about it a little while ago, so here it is.

~

I wait, I wait, I wait
I wait all day, I wait
I wait, I wait, I wait
I wait all day, I wait

all I really want is one more day
to make you change your mind and want to stay
all you have to do is call my name
and I'll come back again

if I could have another day
to make you feel I am the one
I'll show you love in many ways
for your kiss, I wait

but now you push my love away
leave me cold both night and day
all alone, what can I think?
I wait all day, I wait

all I really want is one more day
to make you change your mind and want to stay
all you have to do is call my name
and I'll come back again

I wait, I wait, I wait
I wait all day, I wait
I wait, I wait, I wait
I wait all day, I wait

I tried to call you on the phone
are you there? are you all alone?
I have to hear your voice again
for your kiss, I pray

with closed eyes, you'll never see
just how much you mean to me
please stop playing with my heart
I wait all day, I wait

all I really want is one more day
to make you change your mind and want to stay
all you have to do is call my name
and I'll come back again
