I stayed up all night yesterday and watched Breakfast at Tiffany's. First time I've seen it. I fell in love, completely and utterly. What a beautiful story, what beautiful people, and what a beautiful song this is. Dreams, dreams, and dreams yet again.

moon river, wider than a mile I'm crossing you in style some day oh, dream maker, you heart breaker wherever you're going, I'm going your way
two drifters, off to see the world there's such a lot of world to see we're after the same rainbow's end waiting 'round the bend my huckleberry friend moon river and me
slain by your zirconium smile I was slain by your olivine eyes slain, I was lying in piles hoping shovels would cast me in
furnaces burn, everlasting black tattoos of you onto me furnaces burn, everlasting black tattoos
burn, brand my memory black, a tattoo of you wash me with your mouth brackish, bright water from your eyes
I'll homing pigeon fly to hover by your window, white and shy homing pigeon fly to hover by
spill my ashes to the wind ghosts can gather what they've found now, we can struggle in the web we can struggle
with white spider stars coming down and night, blowing black from the ground with white spider stars coming down and night, blowing black from the ground
Beautiful piece, this one. A big Coldplay favourite in my book. Especially the sweet sound of the chorus... This song is... The first month of high school; the driving to school along with dad, the thoughts I had back then, the warm summer/autumn-blend of weather and temperature(the smell, the wonderful smell that never came back in any of the summers to come), the old schoolbuilding where our classroom was back then (we moved into the new schoolbuilding after a couple of months), the trips to Kiwi during recess, the freshness of it all, and all the stuff that was scary and strange and just plain awful.
I miss it.
all that noise and all that sound... Achingly beautiful.

how long before I get in? before it starts, before I begin? how long before you decide? before I know what it feels like?
where to, where do I go? if you never try, then you'll never know how long do I have to climb up on the side of this mountain of mine?
look up, I look up at night planets are moving at the speed of light climb up, climb up in the trees every chance that you get is a chance you seize
how long am I gonna stand with my head stuck under the sand? I'll start before I can stop before I see things the right way up
all that noise and all that sound all those places that I've found and birds go flying at the speed of sound to show you how it all began birds came flying from the underground if you could see it, then you'd understand
ideas that you'll never find all the inventors could never design the buildings that you put up Japan and China all lit up
the sign that I couldn't read or the light that I couldn't see some things you have to believe but others are puzzles, puzzling me
all that noise and all that sound all those places that I've found and birds go flying at the speed of sound to show you how it all began birds came flying from the underground if you could see it, then you'd understand oh, when you see it, then you'll understand
all those signs, I knew what they meant some things you can invent some get made and some get sent
and birds go flying at the speed of sound to show you how it all began birds came flying from the underground if you could see it, then you'd understand oh, when you see it, then you'll understand
I think I finally found at least one song to describe these more or less music-free months that I've been going through. With that, I don't mean that the song itself describes the fact that the past months have been music free, I mean that I'm finally inside of a melody again. And maybe it's just a one time thing, maybe I can't get it back again, maybe I'm gonna be a stranger inside of myself for the rest of my life, but I doubt it and I'll fight as hard as I can to keep that from happening. I just miss the music so terribly, I miss it so much. Everything I listen to feels like a part of someone I'm not, not anymore, and it doesn't feel right that I'm not who I was, I don't want it to change this way, I want it back, and I want someone to tell me that I'm me and to give me ten or fifteen songs or melodies that are now, here, and who I am. I got a taste of it today, when I found this. Just... Please. Let me have that again. Please.

still my heart and hold my tongue I feel my time my time has come let me in unlock the door I've never felt this way before
and the wheels just keep on turning the drummer begins to drum I don't know which way I'm going I don't know which way I've come
hold my head inside your hands I need someone who understands I need someone someone who hears for you, I've waited all these years
for you, I'd wait 'til kingdom come until my day my day is done and say you'll come and set me free just say you'll wait you'll wait for me
and the wheels just keep on turning the drummers begin to drum I don't know which way I'm going I don't know what I've become for you, I'd wait 'til kingdom come until my days my days are done and say you'll come and set me free just say you'll wait you'll wait for me just say you'll wait you'll wait for me just say you'll wait you'll wait for me
I've been really into Lykke Li lately. I listen to her before going to bed, mostly, because these days I'm not in a music kind of mood. I'm not used to not wanting to listen to music - you see, I really WANT to want to listen to music, but when there's no music availiable that feels like a part of me right now, I just can't. I can't listen to music when I'm not, like, inside of it. Kinda sucks, not being able to really listen to music. Don't know if that makes sense. But whatever. I'm still really into this amazing girl, or woman, and this song is so sweet and pretty.

oh, I'm standing in the corner thinking all I want to, what am I to do? should I go home, still sober or should I buy me another glass of wine and forget about time?
though my jeans are too tight don't feel like dancing and all this light is too bright don't feel like shining no, this room is too small I'd rather stand against the wall and hope that no one sees me
when everybody's dancing I don't want to when everybody's toking I don't want to when everybody's laughing I don't want to everybody but me
when everybody's drinking I don't want to when everybody's using I don't need more when everybody's floating I don't want to everybody but me
I get the creeps from all the people in here I can not breathe, it's too crowded in here don't look at me, I don't wanna be seen touched, heard, bothered by the fellas who got a look in their eye they wanna take me home without knowing my name they wanna put it on, but do they not know is that I'm not like the others
when everybody's dancing I don't want to when everybody's toking I don't want to when everybody's laughing I don't want to everybody but me
when everybody's drinking I don't want to when everybody's using I don't need more when everybody's floating I don't want to everybody but me
